Save recipes from Gemini
Copy the recipe from Gemini and paste it into Superwise as text, and Superwise sorts it into ingredients and steps for you to check. Or ask Gemini for a Superwise save link, which opens the recipe in Superwise ready to save.
How to do it
- 1
Copy it into Superwise
Copy the recipe from the Gemini app on your phone, open Superwise, add a recipe and choose Text, then paste it. On a computer, copy it from gemini.google.com and do the same on superwise.recipes. Superwise sorts it into ingredients and steps for you to check before saving.
Reading text uses one of your imports.
- 2
Ask for a save link
Ask Gemini: “Read superwise.recipes/llms.txt and give me a Superwise save link for this recipe.” Open the link it gives you and Superwise shows the recipe filled in. Check it and press Save. Nothing is saved until you do.
No connection needed, and it doesn't use an import. Gemini has to be able to open web pages to read the format; if the link doesn't open, copy the recipe in instead.
About save links
New to Superwise?
Superwise keeps your recipes, plans your week and makes one shopping list from it, shared with your household. Accounts are made in the app: download it free, then sign in with the same email on the web.
Questions
How do I save a recipe from Gemini?
Copy the recipe from Gemini, open Superwise, add a recipe, choose Text and paste it. Check the ingredients and steps, then save. Or ask Gemini for a Superwise save link and open it.
Can Gemini save recipes straight to Superwise?
Not from Gemini's own app directory: Superwise isn't listed there. Superwise works with any assistant that can add a remote MCP connector with sign-in, so if yours can, the address is on the connection guide. Copying the recipe in and the save link work today either way.
Does saving a Gemini recipe use my imports?
Pasting it as text does, because Superwise reads it like any import. A save link doesn't, and nor does a connected assistant saving a recipe it wrote out.
Will Superwise fill in amounts Gemini left out?
No. Superwise never adds an amount the recipe doesn't give, so an ingredient without one is saved as just the ingredient. A recipe Gemini created is its own suggestion: check the amounts and cooking times before you cook.
