1. Who provides Superwise
Superwise is provided by Reis Hill trading as Superwise (we, us or our). These Terms cover the Superwise iPhone and Android apps, website and related services. Contact us at support@superwise.recipes. Our business contact address is 16 Campville Crescent, West Bromwich, B71 3NQ, United Kingdom.
Superwise is offered to people aged 18 or over in the United Kingdom, the United States and the other countries where we make it available through the App Store, Google Play or the Chrome Web Store. It is not currently offered in the European Union or the European Economic Area (the EU countries, Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway), and we do not direct it at people there. Please do not create an account if you are located there. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these Terms.
2. Accounts and features
Superwise lets you save recipes, plan meals, make shopping lists and share a space with other members. You can create an account in the mobile apps without an invitation. Sign-in methods may include email, Apple or Google, depending on the device. Keep your sign-in method secure and tell us if you think someone has accessed your account.
A shared space is private to its members. Its owner controls membership and can share a join code. Members can see and use the recipes, plans and lists in that space. Share a code only with people you trust.
AI assistants
You can connect an AI assistant, such as Claude or ChatGPT, to your space. It acts for you within what you approved when you connected it: it can read your space's recipes, plan and shopping list; save recipes and add a photo to a recipe it saved; plan meals; add items to the shopping list; and import recipes from links, which count towards your imports as if you had shared the link. It cannot change, replace or delete anything, or reach your account settings. You are responsible for what you ask it to do, as for anything you add yourself. The assistant is provided by someone else under their own terms; we do not control it. You can disconnect it at any time in Account → AI assistants, and we may limit or end a connection that misuses Superwise.
3. Your content and recipe imports
You keep any rights you have in content you add. You give us permission to store, process, display and back up that content as needed to provide Superwise, including sharing it with members of your space. This permission ends when the content is deleted, except where it remains in a shared space, a source-derived import result or a temporary backup, or where law requires retention.
Only submit material you may lawfully use. Do not bypass paywalls or other access controls, or upload material that infringes someone else's rights. When you import a recipe, we may fetch the source, use AI to turn it into a recipe, and store the resulting recipe, source link and an available photo. We may reuse a source-derived result for someone importing the same link, without your identity, private notes or later edits. The Privacy Notice explains the data involved.
If you believe material in Superwise is illegal or infringes your rights, email support@superwise.recipes with:
- where the material is, such as the recipe, photo or link;
- why you believe it is illegal or infringes your rights;
- your name and email address; and
- a statement that you believe the report is accurate and made in good faith.
We will confirm we have received your report, review it promptly, and tell you what we decided and how to challenge that decision.
4. Check recipes before using them
Imported and AI-generated recipes can be wrong or incomplete. Check ingredients, allergens, quantities, cooking instructions and food safety yourself before preparing or serving food. Superwise does not provide medical, nutritional or other professional advice.
5. Fair use and reports
Do not use Superwise unlawfully; harm or harass others; upload malicious material; try to access another account or space; overload the service; or evade its security, usage or subscription limits. You may use Superwise for your household, not to run another business without our agreement.
Report unsafe content, misuse or a privacy concern to support@superwise.recipes. We may remove or disable content, or restrict or close an account, where it breaks these Terms or the law. A person reviews every report and decision; we do not use automated tools to moderate content. When we act on your content or account, we will tell you what we did and why, including the facts we relied on and the rule or law involved, and how to appeal. You can appeal by replying to that message, and a person will review the decision again.
6. Free access and Superwise Plus
Superwise offers free features and an optional Plus subscription for your shared space. Full recipe access currently lasts for two months from your first recipe; afterwards the free plan keeps up to five recipes open. This access period does not start a paid subscription or charge you.
Plus may be bought through Apple's App Store or Google Play. The store shows the current price, billing period, any introductory offer and renewal terms before you buy. A subscription renews unless you cancel it through the Apple or Google account used for the purchase. Only that store account can manage, cancel or restore the purchase. Plus applies to the space the subscriber belongs to; if the subscriber leaves, that space loses Plus unless another member subscribes.
Deleting your Superwise account does not cancel a store subscription, and cancelling Plus does not delete your account. Store refund requests go through the store used for the purchase, subject to the consumer law that applies to you. Nothing in these Terms removes rights that the law gives you.
7. Leaving and deleting an account
You can request deletion in the app under Account → Delete account or by emailing support@superwise.recipes. An in-app request starts a 30-day recovery period before permanent erasure is scheduled. If you own a space with other members, you must transfer ownership before deleting your account. Content in a shared space can remain available to its other members after you leave; your account and membership are removed. The Privacy Notice explains retention and your data rights.
We may suspend or close an account for serious or repeated misuse, security or legal reasons, with notice and an opportunity to appeal where appropriate.
8. Availability, changes and responsibility
We may improve, change or discontinue features. We will give reasonable notice of a material change affecting paid users unless urgent action is needed. If we permanently stop a paid service, we will provide any remedy required by law.
We are responsible for foreseeable loss caused by our breach of these Terms or failure to use reasonable care and skill. Superwise is for personal and domestic use, so we are not responsible for business losses. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including for fraud, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or your non-excludable consumer rights.
We may update these Terms and will give appropriate notice of material changes. If the business later moves to a limited company, we will identify the new provider before that change takes effect. Previous versions are available on request.
9. App Store terms
If you obtained the iPhone app through Apple's App Store, these Terms are between you and us, not Apple. Apple has no duty to maintain or support Superwise. We are responsible for the app and for claims about its content, legal compliance and intellectual property. Your licence is limited to use on Apple-branded devices as Apple's usage rules permit. If the app fails to meet an applicable warranty, you may notify Apple for any refund of the app's purchase price; your other legal rights remain. You must comply with applicable laws when using the app. Apple and its subsidiaries may enforce this section as third-party beneficiaries.
10. Contact and disputes
Email support@superwise.recipes if you have a complaint so we can try to resolve it. The same address is our point of contact for users and for authorities; we can communicate in English. These Terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live outside England and Wales, you keep the mandatory consumer protections of the country where you live, and you may bring a claim in its courts where its law allows.
